Self Help

In 2006 I wrote several self-help items, which were published and sold as booklets.

Here's a sampling:

Get ready! Now's the time to begin the journey inside yourself, to where your personal fountain of youth flows.
Young at heart isn't young enough! You also need to engage your mind, to be young by 90. You've spent the better part of your adult years getting old, and practicing all kinds of ways to get better at it. Maybe you read things aimed at old people, or wonder what's going to hurt when you get up in the morning. You laugh at the getting old email jokes, and see yourself. f this is you, and you think you have a chance of being young without a change in yourself, forget it!

Do you feel lost, and not know everything you're supposed to be?
Do you suffer dereliction of days? Do you go through the motions of each day, only wanting to get through the day so you can face the next?

Each day is a gift. Each day is a special piece of your Life, each day joing with another to form the whole of your life.
Today is an important day. You're supposed to do something special with it. You're the director of your future, don't suffer dereliction of days.

With One Day at a Time, you will take control of your Tomorrow, mix with the dreams you hold of Yesterday, and create Today, one day at a time.

Get ready! Now's the time to begin the journey inside yourself, to where your personal fountain of youth flows.

Dutch, (still young at 85!) says, about this Author:

Linda has spent a lifetime not being like anyone else. She doesn't try, she just isn't. Her only problem, if it is one, is that she wants to discover the world, and find out how it works, every part of it. She's into everything, from the physics of cosmology to the wonders of a web design. She's participated in local business groups and its cousin, the legislature. She has a delightful relationship with her four grown children (twin boys, two girls), and their seven children.

She doesn't consider herself an author, but Linda has contributed computer-related articles to publications. She publishes, too, on websites, mostly related to weddings in Hawaii. Many of the couples she marries, who find her from her website, comment of how they like her, because of what she's expressed at marriageinhawaii.com

I met Linda after she was already grown, shortly after her mother died. She has the fresh perspective of a child, but is not childish. She cried when her brothers and father died, unexpectedly, in a short time span. Three months later, after an ankle injury found her bedridden, she turned her tears into a website, www.koaseeds.com/ankle/, which has helped others in similar situation.

I think of Linda mostly as a wedding minister. She worked in her church for a decade, then put those years to use by turning the experience into a license to solemnize marriages in Hawaii. Mostly, people find her from her main website, www.marriageinhawaii.com. The story of Linda the Bride and Wayne's wedding, when Linda the minister broke her ankle, can be found at www.hawaiiweddingalbum.com.

This opportunity to write this Self Help on One Day at a Time was a welcomed challenge! Linda has enjoyed it, as she enjoys writing. She just needs her confidence lifted. She'll keep writing!

Yes, I will keep writing!

Enjoy!

aloha!
